I like the addition of borders on your quilt. I know the pattern in the magazine was without borders, but I really like the addition of a border to bring everything together--kind of reins everything in. Patti has good advice about quilting--I too wash up my quilts after they are quilted--especially when my SID is not quite in the ditch. After washing and drying, you can not tell.Silverthimblehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17921807595542164387noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18204679.post-58884038265044968432006-12-23T09:49:00.000-08:002006-12-23T09:49:00.000-08:00Your quilting looks just fine. What I recommend is that you wash it in hot or very warm water and put it in a hot dryer so the fabric shrinks up a little around the machine stitching. That makes the stitching itself less noticible and only the shadow definition it creates really shows. That's what Harriet Hargrave does, and the quilts I saw of hers years ago when I took a machine quilting class from hers looked hand done unless one looked VERY closely.Pattihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07125491177774966237noreply@blogger.com
