To finish your irregular quilt, I would place the backing fabric on top of the quilt, pretty sides together, sew around all edges and cut an X through the backing fabric and turn it right side out through the hole. If you plan ahead, you can place your label over the cut X.Judy Ryshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07811878186860224764noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18204679.post-79911233891978509392008-11-09T07:53:00.000-08:002008-11-09T07:53:00.000-08:00I know you'll do what's best...but I think that th...I know you'll do what's best...but I think that the envelope turn sounds liberating and fun...and what's not liberating and fun about this piece anyway!

Winter has begun with a bang here too. One being the pieces added to the vertical center red strip. Your idea of adding the brown to frame and pull it together is a good one. It may be easier to add them as part of your piecing and then finish it in the envelope style.

I look forward to seeing where you end up with it.Nellie's Needleshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12468773469685787840noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18204679.post-33866465572673921632008-11-08T13:53:00.000-08:002008-11-08T13:53:00.000-08:00I'm watching this one with interest.
