I have been wanting to try mile-a-minute blocks for awhile now. I know I said I was going to do a landscape quilt, which is probably why I am starting another scrap quilt. When it is pieced I will have three tops to quilt. I try not to get a pile of tops to quilt because I will get overwhelmed by them and never start them. Unless I end up with a longarm somehow. The last three are all so busy that they will need fairly simple quilting and will be good to practise on because the quilting won't be too obvious.
Very liberated log cabin look you have going there. I like the black and white border. very fun.
ReplyDeleteLove your mam quilt so far! I like how you did the borders! Very cool!
ReplyDeleteI'm loving your progress, Joyce!
ReplyDeleteThe mile a minute is looking good, but do you need to join MaM Anon, my support group for mile a minute addicts? You're not alone in intending to make a landscape quilt and being sucked into Mam! :o)
ReplyDeletelove the bright scraps you're using! The inset border really calms the whole thing and unifies it well
ReplyDeleteGoodness! I missed this yesterday! How lovely to find a wonderful bright quilt, & 2 posts to read!
ReplyDeleteLove your quilt. I will have to make one after I finish my blue jeans quilt.
ReplyDeleteI love the bright colors and the border. It sounds so much more fun than a landscape quilt.
