I have put a couple more rounds on Dark Skies and have started auditioning embellishments. I can already see that the darkest tail should move to the left to return the weight to that side.
I am also starting to contemplate how I will quilt it. That's always the hardest part for me. Will I use round lines to match the circles or straight lines to match the criss cross lines? Or will I go for something completely different? Time alone will tell.
Awesome Joyce! Your creative juices are always flowing aren't they! 8-)
ReplyDeleteIt is even better now. Love it.
ReplyDeleteI like it -- it has a very Asian feel.
ReplyDeleteI have found the hardest part to be the quilting too. I actually have a UFO that is years old because I still don't know how I want to quilt it (but don't tell anybody.)
ReplyDeleteI enjoy watching your creative process and how it all comes together. I posted the show my lastest piece was in today should you want to see not just mine, but other really good works of art.

ReplyDeleteWow - this really is great! I like the way that the lines lead your eye out to the background. Can't wait to see it done!

I really like these blocks. Circles are great but the intersections add interest.
ReplyDeleteWay cool! probably a favorite and the dark colors are so unexpected & powerful!
ReplyDeleteMy struggle too. I went to a quilt show yesterday and looked for quilting ideas. It was interesting how many are done with an all-over pattern that ignores the piecing. The most amazing quilts tied the quilting to the design. It is a challenge! I'm sure your creative mind will come up with something!!
