In the top photo the left hand side is glowing because of the pink border. In the bottom one the right hand side is glowing because of the turquiose. So either of those would work, but I agree with Quilt pixie, try the bright yellow as well.

Lovely idea which ever fabric you decide.Ali Honeyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12671890094425941272noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18204679.post-68545435390780837692008-08-03T18:19:00.000-07:002008-08-03T18:19:00.000-07:00What a nice quilt--I like the blue for the border,...What a nice quilt--I like the blue for the border, definitely.Rosalyn Manessehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07732466850346976888noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18204679.post-51726242929564710952008-08-03T13:52:00.000-07:002008-08-03T13:52:00.000-07:00I think you need something bright, or change the f...I think you need something bright, or change the first border to a bright and then add a darker one. Both "read" as bright colours, all the others feel "dark" to me... The bright yellow that you've used for horizontal sashing (2nd from top and 2nd from right)also feels like a strong contender to me -- I recognize the bottom left sashing from fabric I picked up with quilting bee was closing, and while bright its too dark I think to work as the border.... even the brighter pink sashing (top horizontal row, 2nd from left) might work...Donnahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15763869971803840742noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18204679.post-20865564861279697932008-08-03T12:16:00.000-07:002008-08-03T12:16:00.000-07:00I love your policy and I have decided to adopt it ...I love your policy and I have decided to adopt it today! I have a quilt that desperately needs borders. However, I am just not into that today so I dug out some old blocks and I am having fun setting them together. I will get back to the borders on that other quilt, but only when I feel like facing that chore!Silverthimblehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17921807595542164387noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18204679.post-69852404666638972312008-08-03T11:30:00.000-07:002008-08-03T11:30:00.000-07:00Hum... I have a box of B&w fabric that I've been putting off using for some time. Maybe.... Could you find some more like it? It makes the quilt pop. For the border my two top choices would be the pink with black dots and the flowered turquoise. I'm leaning toward the flowery turquoise because there's something so unexpected about it with the graphic B&W. I think it holds its own and the contrast effect, in both style and color, is pretty neat. It's the sort of thing I'd leave on my design wall to be sure about, though! Have fun!jovaliquiltshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04658198685121310571noreply@blogger.com
