Snakes
This is where thousands of harmless snakes hibernate for the winter. They are just waking up now and they are writhing around in large clumps.
Unfortunately, I miscalculated on the picture and only got a few of the snakes at the bottom of the photo. Seeing that many snakes is a bit freaky and there was also a TV crew there trying to interview us. I did take a bit of video but it also didn't turn out very well.
Then we went on to Gimli, an Icelandic town on Lake Winnipeg. They still do a lot of fishing. We had a delicious lunch but unfortunately,
There was a quilt shop next door selling some Kaffe Fassett fabrics. What could I do?
I also bought some hiking poles. Now I have absolutely no excuses left. I will have to walk every day.
Here are some links to better pictures of the snake dens.

And here is the TV clip with my son and granddaughter with a tiny bit of me...

Not Quite...
The corners didn't match very well except for the upper right. I still like it but it probably won't make it into my show. I may do it again with some changes. I want more space around the letters. The e in coffee is too close to the edge. I would make the brown outline a bit wider and I wouldn't try to mitre the corners on that type of stripe. It's almost impossible to match the stripes on the last corner.

On A Roll
I started this one with some of the new coffee fabric that I bought. I had the brown, which turned out to be an exact match, in my stash. I bought the stripes to go with the coffee fabric. I am trying to get up the courage to make a border with mitred corners, a bit daunting with stripes. Stay tuned.

This is what I am working on now but the configuration will change quite a lot. I am thinking that all the words will go together and the blah blah fabric will be an inner border and the lip fabric will be the outer border, depending on how that looks on the design wall.
This is the first edition of the poster for my upcoming May quilt show. The final version has a different font but the same information. I hope to see some of you there.

You're Ok
The Chill Out Song by Ze Frank has a message that I really like so I decided to use the chorus as the quote on my next wall hanging. I just have to add "ne" to fine, the last line which is "Just breathe and his name.
I hope it will be done in time for my quilt show in May.

Words, words
I made some more words today. The blue one will be a pillow. I need to buy a blue zipper to insert into the back to be able to remove the top for washing. The other will end up either a pillow or a wall hanging...
Pillows
Here are the pillows I've made so far. A friend has offered to lend me a small love seat for my art quilt show in May. I will throw a quilt over it and display the pillows on it. I also plan to do the same thing with my rocking chair. It's good to fill up a bit of the floor space as well as the walls at a show.
