Snake!

This afternoon Carmel's friend Tim called to say there was a big carpet snake in their garage if we wanted pictures. A carpet snake is not poisonous but is a sort of python or boa that might try to squeeze you. They took it out on the rake and let it go. I am quite happy to spend the rest of my stay here without seeing any snakes at all.

Really, when you look at those snakes, they are beautiful.

I agree with meggie - it is beautiful. (that is when you know you are going to see it - coming up on one during a walk in the grass is quite another thing all-together!)

Beautiful...maybe??? The hairs on my arms are at attention just looking at the pictures.

Yikes! But at the same time I just LOVE to see "critters" in the yard! We've had large snakes too and I always just let them be...of course one has never "rattled" at me or anything! Very glad to know they released it. Looks like you are having a hey ole' time!!!!

Beautiful snake, but maybe would be better at a distance? We have to be on the lookout for rattle snakes here in California.
