Internet Woes

We have been having internet probelms (I accidentally typed "internot" and that about says it all) for about a month. We keep calling the satelite people and they walk us through the same rigamarole each time. Finally , we convinced them to send someone out to look at the physical setup and they found a pinched cable on our roof. Why did it take them a month to send someone??? I'm guessing they didn't want to spend the money. The funny thing was that the tech guy was my student in Grade Three. Good thing I was nice to him back then! Lol.
We are leaving tonight for San Diego to drive our son's car back home. We will be gone for a week or ten days so I will not likely be posting anything until we get back.

Meanwhile here are a couple of possible layouts for the log cabin quilt

Glad to hear that you got your internet hookup back in order.

I like each one of your log cabin arrangements than the one before. How do you decide?

Hey Joyce, if you turn the corner blocks around, on the last picture you'll have a secondary star design. That's my favorite log cabing layout. I love log cabin!

If you're heading though Seattle, you may want to stop at the Greg Kucera gallery & see the Gee's Bend quilts.

service people are anything BUT customer friendly too often--glad that they found the problem but sheesh, were they not listening when you called the other how many times?

Blocks are looking good.

Come back to us safely.

even though it took a while, I'm glad the solution to your internet woes was so straight forward :-)

Both layouts look great to me. The internet is surely annoying when it isn't working right, for whatever reason. Glad you got it solved. Isn't it amazing where our former students show up? =) Have a safe trip.

HI, I love your blocks. I am on my 4th UFO's, I am doing a 9 block quilt and also the one pictured on my site, www.Acouplewhiles.blogspot.com, I have to adjust things on there, not sure yet how to do everything. We'll get it soon. I think your blocks are wonderful.

I love your wonky log cabin blocks! And I like Deb H's suggestion about turning the corners and making a star. Hope you're having a good time on your trip.
