More Quliting

Here is my Wonky Log Cabin in a different arrangement. I am not sure which one I will do. There are so many ways to arrange a log cabin block. I plan on making lots more blocks. It is so amazing to get this many blocks done and there is hardly a dent in the pile of scraps. The best part about this block is that it uses up so many odd sized pieces and they end up looking great instead of going into the garbage.

Summer has done a lot of work on her quilt. Now she is ready to sew on the dark pink border and then she has one more border to do. Then comes the big decision of how to quilt it. There will have to be some quilting in the white spaces and I think she wants to do it by machine. She is thinking of stippling but that might be quite a challenge on something so big for her first time. A challenge has never stopped our Summer yet though.

The last picture is Free getting a rotary cutting lesson from summer.

I didn't know the name of the Chinese stamps, thanks for telling me. Aren't they cool?
I love your Wonky Log Cabin quilt! And it is so nice that you got to use your scraps . I will try it too.

Wow, you've both done so much! A log cabin is on my list of things to make... what's the layout that looks like a star, kinda? that's my favorite, I think, but the one you have there with the diagonals looks nice too...

Summer's quilt looks great!

I like your first arrangement of the log cabin blocks best. But that's just me!!

WOw Summer is doing a great job on her quilt. Nothing like a challenge to a young woman!!

Love the liberated log cabins -- always a fav of mine. I have been wanting to try something big with them. I'll have to bookmark this entry for future inspiration(if I ever get my quilt room set back up!!!).

I really like that Wonky Log Cabin! I think I like the first layout better (the square below) as it makes me think it is a window looking onto the outside world and what all it has to offer. So peaceful and serene knowing that we have a choice no matter what.
