More Fabric

It's a good thing I'm not on a fabric diet! I went to Winnipeg today and got some backing fabric, some white cotton for dyeing and some off white muslin. That's all I was going to get until I saw fabric that looks like a stormy sea and an off white with gold polka dots. Who could resist them? Not I. The color in the photo is very yellow, I suppose because I had to use the flash. The dot fabric is really a beautiful pale cream color and the dots are glittery gold. I just love it. I'll probably regret only getting a yard of it.
What I did forget to buy was more batting. I need a list and I actually had one in my pocket but didn't look at it. I would have probably had to go to a different store and we were getting hungry so I'll just wait until we go to Winkler for groceries and get it there.

Mmmm that fabric looks great!
We had a hard day at the shop face today, but did manage to almost finish the shopping, & we stopped off for a nice lunch on the way home.
It has actually been cooler, so that is a bonus!

I love the look of the sea material. I've got some gorgeous off white fabric with pale orange polka dots. I don't want to use it yet. Need something to insprie me!

What fun fabric!
It seems that I am ALWAYS running out of batting, and like you, forget to buy all that is on my list! It's nice to be in such good company.

Ooh I'm like you, I get mad at myself when I short myself on fabric. So, I pretty much buy 3 yards if it's something I really like. I've got quite a stash of smaller pieces that I can enhance any larger piece with.

WooHoo -- more fabric! I'm finally doing a little blog catch up -- you've been busy-busy! Love your little house block and cute quilt! And of course all the snow -- you're so lucky you can hole-up and enjoy the beauty of it all!

Thanks for your comment on my blog. I need all the encouragement I can get right now. And I love the winter quilt you are working on. You are so very good at doing those pieced letters.
