Ready to Quilt
Here is the baby quilt top all finished. I got some solid orange yesterday but somehow it just didn't do the trick for me so I took that as a sign that I should be using the green.
I did get some very cute backing fabric though. It was about 4 inches too narrow so I thought I'd add a brown stripe. I made a mistake in the cutting so I had to also add the narrower brown stripe. I actually like that better but probably wouldn't have gone to the extra effort if I didn't have to.
Here is a close up of the backing fabric. It is by Debbie Mumm and I think it's really cute.
The quilt is about 45 by 63 so it's really more of a little boy quilt than a baby quilt. Luckily, babies tend to grow into little boys (or girls).

That is such a great baby quilt! Great job on that, I like the way the colors flow.
I like the quilt a lot -- it's very interesting. I'll be interested to see how you quilt it.
It is a cute backing fabric, and those two brown stripes are very classy looking, and they pick up the graphic nature of the front.
A very interesting concept on this quilt. I really like the back fabric, my favorite color and one of my favorite days.
wow, you did a wonderful job creating this quilt... I love the colors and yes the green worked out really well , and the backing,,,well, I am impressed, I wouldn't have thought to add the stripes to get more inches...I will keep this in mind too..thanks, and happy stitching...Lise
What a lovely quilt for a little boy. They grow far too quickly! I love the backing with the stipes.
I love this. It is so ......... graphic and the back relates to the front in a funny sort of way.
Great backing fabric too.
Absolutely perfect! Your sense of color is right on!!
