Tie Dye

Today I dyed a few t shirts. This one is by far the most successful. The others are much more diffused, probably because the knit is not so tight. Also, I got them at the thrift store and the labels were cut off so I'm not sure they were 100% cotton. This one makes up for all the rest though. I just love how it turned out.

This is great! Tie die brings back the 60s - I did a T-shirt when I was about 11 - paid 25 cents for the shirt (cheap even then!) and about 75 cents for two packs of die (red and black) died the shirt and wore it for years and years until it finally was full of holes and basically disintegrated. I loved that shirt!

I'd be tempted to cut off the sleeves and quilt it using the design as my guide!
