Yesterday I added the border. The best thing about this border fabric is that I got it at the thrift store for $1.50 and there is enough left for the backing. It's just barely wide enough so I might add a strip of pink or yellow down the middle because it's better to have at least two inches extra on either side when pinning it to the frame. There won't be enough of the green for the binding so it will probably be dark blue like the inner border.

I have loved watching the construction of this quilt. I think it's one of my favorites! Happy quilting. :)

it looks great from here, and the price is certainly good, between the giveaway loot and the thrift shop finds. It is really striking in the thumbnail pix on my blog -- take a look. And I'm sure it looks great in person too! how big is it?
It's fabulous!
I knew you would find the right combo. This looks great. I love the border and a bonus that you got it at such a deal.
WOW!!! Spectacular!!!
I am sorry to be so late in commenting about this, Joyce, but this is absolutely spectacular! I love it! I love the way you've arranged the blocks, and the sashing. It's just wonderful!

That backing is perfect! Love the color and the small print. And the price?! Perfect.
I love this and the sashing adds so much to this piece. Great work!
