Quilting Weather

When I looked out the window this morning, this is what I saw. That is real quilting weather! There is not enough snow yet to look beautiful and pristine. There is no telling if it is here to stay but it certainly could be.

Simba was not keen to sit in all that wet, cold stuff so he got his treat without having to sit and be good. Well, he's usually good anyway so it was not a problem.

I would love to have some snow, Lucky you! And isn't Simba a sweetie, my daughter would love that name as she was a huge fan of the Lion King when she was a little girl.

Joyce, I do envy you! I know I probably wouldnt like it if I had to live in it, but imagine I would!

I looked at some of the art you are preparing those Conntainers for, & it is just beautiful!

Wow - snow. Still warm and sunny here. Wish we could trade a little even if only for a day or two *s*

Brrr, that makes me shiver to look at it... lol

So what did you work on as you looked out your window at all that white stuff?

Hi Joyce, I see you had about the same amount of snow we did here in WI. Not alot, but enough to realize it had snowed.

Sure felt sorry for those BUffalo, NY folks. They got about 20" of it from that same storm.
Your green fabrics and hand dyeds look great. Can't wait to see what you will be making. Hugs, Finn

Snow! Oh my goodness. We are still in Autumn here. The leaves are being stripped from the trees by a strong wind, but it is still warm enough to hang the washing out and get it dry in a matter of hours. Talking of which ......

Yes neighbor, we've got much of the same. And of course, I just washed my WHITE car! Yuck! I do love snow and *quilting weather*...but it's a little early even for me. ;-)

How much of a walk is it from your back door to your studio? Do you ever not get to go to your studio due to the weather conditions?

Oh I would love some snow!!! Early or not!!! LOL We used to get lots but not anymore. :( Of course, I don't have to drive in it....so if it would just snow, I would have some wonderful quilty snow days!! LOL Your hand-dyes are gorgeous!!

Firt visit to your blog Joyce. My goodness you are a busy lady.
I also love snow, which we don't seem to get anymore around here. I was born in a snowstorm and the midwife had to walk on top of the hedges to get to our house with her skirt tucked into her knickers, so I was told(s>

Early for snow, or is it different in Manitoba than in Alberta? I lived in Calgary for a year and it's not unusual that it snows on Hallowe'en. Here in UK we need a hard winter to kill off the fungus and parasites that are affecting so many of the trees. And we need a wet winter to replenish the water table -- so here's hoping for lots of snow (I love it, anyway).

It would be a very strange day if it ever snowed here in Adelaide, we'd love the novelty factor of it, but I'm sure it would wear thin for those of you that have to live with it a log.
*hugs*
