Bali Bag

I took a break from being the wall hanging today to make this Bali Bag from a pattern that Quilt Pixie sent me yesterday. Mine doesn't look nearly as nice as hers. I think I have gotten the lining sewn in wrong so tomorrow I'm going to take it out and try again. I had some pre-cut 5 inch squares so I used them, thus making my bag a bit smaller than hers. That's a good thing for me because I don't usually carry a huge bag. I do love the shape of it and will probably make another one that is a bit darker for winter.
Later: Looking at the picture of Quilt Pixie's bag I think I may have sewn mine together wrong. Mine doesn't sit nicely like hers does. Back to the drawing board.

I think maybe QP just flattened her bag for the photo, and that is why it may look different...

looks right to me when I look at your photo -- the "heart" is there under the handles.... Its amazing how huge it gets how fast... I imagine 5" squares would be much better....

I love the bag. I think it looks fabulous. I wish I had the patience for bags. I get all confused when it comes to sewing all the pieces together and turning it.

I think your bag is lovely. And Myra is probably right about how it was photographed.

Yours looks like other Bali bags I have seen in real life. It is probably just the way it was photographed. I was supposed to make one for a present at the end of October - maybe I will get it done this weekend and see how it looks. Anyway I wouldn't worry about it - just use it and enjoy.
