I finished the quilting and put the binding on today and I just have to hand sew it down. Unfortunately, I don't have any light green to match the binding. I was in town earlier today but never thought of it. We are going in again on Friday, so I guess the binding will be on hold until then. I quilted it with random loops and the occasional heart thrown in.
I don't like making labels, so I quilted my name, address and the year along one border.
Now I am debating whether I should wash it and let it crinkle or leave it like this. I'm sure it will end up being washed a lot so maybe I should send it pre-crinkled so they won't freak out when it happens with the first wash. It would also hide a couple of technical errors.

Wallhangings should look flat and smooth and baby quilts crinkly. I would prewash. This little quilt probably went really fast in the quilting after all of the big ones you have done.

I think washing prior to giving sounds like a great idea. Maybe the parents will feel like it's somewhat "broken in" instead of so shiny and pristine.

A lovely baby/child's quilt! What is the pattern? Quilting looks great! Good idea to stitch your info right in there! That backing fabric is awesome too!!!

I always pre-wash baby quilts. I don't suppose it's necessity to wash wall hangings, but sometimes I do.
Definitely wash it then! Love that the pattern is actually binary code :)

I love how you quilted the label info right into the quilt. I'd go for the pre-crinkle. Saves them from the possible upset and you get the joy of pulling it fresh from the dryer. A win/win
