Quilter's Playtime

Here are a few more blocks from my new Quilter's Playtime book. I really like the wonky nine patches. The long strip in nice but a real pain to make. Lots and lots of short seams. I might make more of them for a border though.

Seems like the weather that's forecast would be perfect excuse to enjoy some "quilter's playtime!" I love the wonkiness!

Very fun... like the blocks and I can see why the other would be a pain (although it's very cool).

The long strip is one of my favorites from the book, but since I could see it would take more time I haven't tried it yet.

Same opinion here - might be a pain for it's very effective and cool!

I love what's on your display wall there Joyce!!! The blocks are awesome and I love that blue boarder!!! Perhaps you could try making it the strip piecing way somehow, which wouldn't be so finicky... Just a thought! 8-)
Lovely little box Joyce! Something I haven't tried yet...well, not the kind with interfacing anyway. Only boxes with cardboard so far... 8-)
Happy stichings!

The 4 patches are fun fun -- but the side strip is awesome! It looks both fun and elegant, not a bad feat. Bummer that it's so much work!

What fun. I love what you have done. Have to add that to the to do list.

Looks like so much fun! I may have to break down and find a copy of that book after all. I just know it will make me sick to read it though... :-(

Nice banner Joyce :)

Oooh that long strip is really effective (despite being a time killer!)
