Ahhh! That Feels Better.

I bought a lino-cutter on our trip and I thought I'd try it out on some dollar store erasers. On the top two I just followed the lines already on the erasers. On the pink and green one I drew a leaf and cut around it. I stamped with acrylic. I bought some fabric paint but these are only tests on a scrap. I'll save the fabric paint for a real project. I did the big eraser with a mat knife. Not easy or fun. I trimmed it smoother with the lino-cutter.

Here are some wonky half log cabins a la Freddy and Gwen. I need to get back into the swing of things before starting another wall hanging.

I love the Freddy and Gwen blocks. Relaxing and fun after the Emmental cheese:-)

I'm glad to see you have discovered eraser stamps. I had my students cut with lino cutters a square gum eraser on one or more sides. They would then plan a tessellating repeat. Its instant success and fun! Try fabric markers and you can stamp more than one color.

I've got three words for you: liberated, wonky, fun! Woohoo.

Ive just gotten into stamp making too. Using erasers and some material I got at the art supply store that is like erasers but you get a whole sheet of it, much cheaper in the long run. I'm using an exacto knife but also have the other tools from my husband's wood cutting days. Yours look like fun.

Dharma has the white carving blocks & linoleum on their website. They are not very expensive.

Love your quilt blocks and your stamps! I have all the supplies to make stamps, just haven't had the time yet.

These wonky blocks are a long way from the precision sewing in the last block! I do that too - when I have trouble with precision sewing, I revert back to something much more flexible.
