Background Options

I finally moved these boxes to the center of my design wall and started playing around with backgrounds. With the orange background I was sort of thinking of an explosion.

I'm afraid the boxes get lost in this dark background so those triangles will have to go into the parts drawer.
I want to try some purple but don't have any suitable fabric. Does that mean I have to go fabric shopping? It sounds like it to me.

Do you ever need an excuse to go fabric shopping? The orange looks good and I agree about the black unless you want it to be really subtle. Lets see what the purple brings.

Oh, an excuse to go fabric shopping! That is as good as any that I can come up with. Go girl!

In my opinion, even though you didn't ask, neither one. I like the way the blocks photograph on the blog. The background (your design wall) photographs as a light to medium gray.
Can't wait to see what you decide.

I am sure you will find the right background fabric - sometimes a quilt needs time to percolate a bit before one finds the right combination.
It will be another great quilt, I am sure, Joyce!

Anna

I can support anything with the color orange in it! I wouldn't dissuade you from fabric shopping however...
