One Block Wonder

I started a new kaleidoscope quilt a couple of days ago. I wanted some mindless sewing but I did some mindless cutting and cut one strip an inch too narrow. No worries. That strip will find its way into some other quilt and this one will be a bit smaller. The sewing on this type of quilt is mindless but the arranging is endless fun.
We are leaving for a bit of a road trip in a couple of days. We will be going to Santa Fe and then across to Oklahoma City. Once we do what we need to there we may decide to go to Paducah, depending on how tired of driving we are at that point. If our timing is right we could end up there during their big quilt show. We'll see what happens.
We are lucky that a friend was willing to house sit for us. It's a lot easier to get ready if you don't have to close up the house and find someone to check it regularly.

Are they all from the same piece of fabric?

I can't wait to see what more of the blocks look like. What is the original fabric?

That's a lot of driving. Enjoy.

Have a wonderful time! A warning though--there may not be hotel rooms within an hour's drive of Paducah, so plan accordingly.
