Something New

I took my favorite hand dye from last week and started putting borders around it. I am stalled on the fifth one. I cut enough light blue to go all the way around and then decided it was too pastel. The yellow seems too strong. Now I am dyeing a green and yellow piece that will hopefully pick up the colors of the leaves in the flower border. If that fails, I'll be searching for a green leafy fabric at the quilt show in Fargo on the weekend.

Love it Joyce! Though, depending on how large you want it, I'd call it done at the dark blue border. Just the right amount of punch... Just my thought. 8-)

i do love the gold for some reason, the green does seem a bit strong and the blue is nice but like you say maybe a bit too pastel...

looks great though!

Have you tried a dark turquoise?

I agree with Myra. I would make it done at the dark blue border. Thinks it looks great and doesn't need more, depending on how big you want it to be however.
