I have mentioned several times that everyone in my family is an artist. Here we have proof that even the youngest one has talent. After watching his Mum paint last night, Reve decided to have a go at it this morning while she wasn't watching. Don't you think the bright green goes well on that white wall?

What a hoot. This picture should hang on the wall to go with the green paint.

Oh my word - how can you be cross with such a cutie), definitely a Van Gogh in the making - reminds me of the time my younger two (then one and a half and two and three quarters) got hold of a bottle of tippex/liquid paper and proceeded to 'paint' my pride and joy..... my beautiful almost new silver grey leather sofa :o( As I couldn't trust myself not to explode the tippex was confiscated, Daddy was summoned home from work and Mummy went to lie down on a darkened room. Fortunately it all came off with the help of lots of thinners. There are still toys around the house that bear the hallmarks though :o)

Awww....I love these kinds of pictures! Sometimes, they do the cutest things that you know you should scold them for, but are so precious, you just can't. Besides, it's hard to get a child to take a scolding seriously with you laughing so hard you can hardly talk! Been there, done that. Sometimes, I really miss those days! But I enjoy the adults my children have become. That's what is important, right?

Anne, later apparently he took black marker to her antique, newly recovered chair. Don't know if that will come off like the liquid paper did. I doubt it.

Finn, thanks for the warm welcome. I have only been a maveric (at least in the ring, Lol) for about a week so don't feel bad that you didn't know. I read and enjoy your blog regularly.
The Artist is indeed a cutie. Too bad he and his family live in Australia and we are in Canada. We see them way too seldom. Thank goodness for the Chat and Webcams.

Hee hee- that photo is too funny. I can only saythat as a mom of 2 small ones myself, having lived through similar bursts of artistic expression!

y'know, all the paint came off cos it was still wet and it was acrylic... you can sorta see some pale green smudges here and there but as joe says, we need to repaint it anyway. I was less pleased when he took the permanent marker to my newly recovered antique chair. i recovered it with red vinyl. i used hairspray and that took most of the black marker off but there is still pale grey lines every where he was being "creative".
no photos of that one!

ohh, eeeek!

Was it washable paint or did you have to get some turps out to clean the child and wall?

Oh, my! That is too funny. You must've been very calm because he looks like he's quite pleased with his artwork.

Judy, I was calm and laughing as much as he was because he is my grandson and lives in Australia while I am in Canada. His mother may have been somewhat less calm but at least she had the presence of mind to take some photos!
