I have the flowered quilt all ready to pin. I found a large piece of flowered fabric for the back so now all I have to do is get on my knees on the cement and pin it. I have it taped down so it shouldn't take too much time.
Meanwhile I have been sewing some leaders and enders into a Double Irish Chain. I love the way it is looking. I need to put it aside now until I get a few more leaders and enders done.

my knees feel for you on the cement... do you have kneepads at least?
I love both quilts! The colours are so vibrant, and of course you know I love leaders and enders projects! Well done!

Ohhhhh, the double irish chain is coming along great! Is it difficult to remember if you need pieces sewn to white or pieces sewn to medium, or are you just grabbing the next two squares in the stack?
And instead of being on my knees, I'd head somewhere with a big table - the public library early in the morning before it gets crowded, or your church's gathering hall or... something!
Love the double irish chain quilt. I would like to make one of those some day.
I love both of the quilts, They are so fetching.
CEMENT --- oh, I hurt just thinking of kneeling on cement.
The Irsh chain one- how is the center pieces constructied? I am wondering because of some large blocks of my grandmother's that look somewhat like that but they are scraps of fabric ranging from the 1920s through the late 1940s or early 1950s. The stair step style blocks are 2" squares of the afore mentioned fabrics alternated with an old style of muslin. I have beentrying to figure how to put them to gether.

poor Joyce---isn't there anyway you can get up on a table that you could elevate to waist high? I would gladly send you my extra set of table risers we jerry rigged up and get you off those knees!! Our local Hancock's will let you use their class room tables if they aren't using. A church basement?? Anything?
The quilts look wonderful.
Love the dark background!
