Anniversary

Today would have been my parents anniversary if my mother had lived. This is a picture of their wedding. Apparently there was a huge storm with a couple of feet of snow that day. He had to drive a horse and sleigh about 10 miles to get to the town where she lived. They look like a pretty happy couple to me. He just had his 93rd birthday.

You are so lucky to have that lovely photo of your happy parents. There is no pic of my parents, they got married just before he was sent overseas to fight in WW 2, & when he came home nothing was ever the same.

Great picture. What year was the wedding?

He certainly does look happy in that picture. Did they get married in Winnipeg?

The picture looks very similar in time period to Jim's parents wedding pictures - that was in the late 1940's. Both his parents are gone now. It is nice you you to still have your dad at 93.
