I have been working on quilting the Circle game on my regular machine. I am really out of practise in moving the fabric instead of the machine. I used to be better at it. The Saturn one turned out best, partly because the background is plain and partly because the shape of Saturn is more interesting. I have three more squares to go. The black polka dots didn't get done because my black thread was in the house where I was using it on the binding of the dragon. I have to buy thread for the gold one at the top and for the orange one below it. I can probably use the same thread on both of them.

Saturn does look good, but I can't see the other quilting in the photo. Such a delightful project. Your border fabric is really something, too. I guess I missed the planetary part before, because I had been thinking of those as microscopic activity. Funny how similar they are.

Looking good Joyce! the quilting around your Saturn looks wonderful! It is hard to make out the rest, but I am sure it is great too!!! 8-)
Happy stitchings!

Wow...you've been a busy girl!! I haven't visited for a few days and look at what I've missed. I'm liking the bright colours in your work.

Like Cheri, I seem to have missed this one. The colours are stunning.

Have you got a walking foot on your ordinary machine? I ask because I've ordered a 1/4 inch and quilting foot combination for the restored Singer which is due to arrive any day now. The quilting foot looks like the "straight up and down" one which means I probably can't do swirls and fancy stuff!
