Cat and Sheep
I changed the bib on the cat but I think Molly is right. It does look a bit like a kangaroo. I'm pretty sure it's the angle of the front legs. I may put it aside for an Aultralian quilt and use the first cat I made.
I have also made a second sheep. The fabric has little swirls on it that don't show up in the photo, so it's a very appropriate fabric. The piecing method matches more with the rest of the quilt than the fused one. I think I like it best of all the animals I've made.
And finally, here is a picture of all the animals and people so far. I might make one more chicken and then I think it's about time to start putting them all together. Now that is going to be a challenge! I also want to make some words to go on it. So far I am thinking of "Maggie's Farm" from Bob Dylan or "Down on the Farm". If anyone has any other ideas, I'd love to hear them.

The sheep is adorable! If you need another reason to possibly set the cat aside -- the scale seems a bit off. He may not be bigger than the horse, but about the same size...
You've got me stumped on words. The only farm songs I can think of right now are "The Farmer in the Dell" and one from JoJo's Circus. The perils of having an almost 2 year old!
Being from that era, I rather like Maggies Farm!
My favourite is the smaller goose, but I do love the dog, & sturdy horse.
Pure unadulterated FUN!
Love your animals! Can't wait to see them come together.
I love the sheep! And how cool how you go about doing it! You are very good at this!
For some reason the sheep is calling my name. I love then all but the sheep is special.
Love these animals, Joyce. And what a brilliant method of construction, thanks for sharing it.
Part of the attraction for me in this sort of quilt is the different sizes of the animals, but putting it together is the best part...not only where each one will fit but should a huge cat go next to a small horse? Definitely!
Joyce I think it's the cat's head that's a little askew. I think it's too small. I don't think it looks like a kangaroo, but that's because I see them all the time!
Loving, loving your menagerie!
Love the Animals..you come up with the neatest ideas...cant wait to see it come together...the only words I can come up with are Animal Farm...Have Fun..Toni
wow, you're prolific! That sheep is just adorable.
Wow, your animals are looking great! As I'm looking at your blocks, a song keeps popping up ... Old McDonald had a farm ... What about "E, I, E, I, Oh" for a title?
