Mother's Day

Cherie, our daughter, cooked a fantastic Mother's Day dinner for the whole family today. The big plus is that it was warm enough to eat outside for the first time in about six months. It was very sunny and most of us forgot to bring hats. Cherie scoured her cupboards and found several hats. I ended up with one left over from some party but I thought it was quite appropriate for Mother's Day wear.

Fabulous hat! It would look great with red shoes.

Love the hat. And I trailed back to read about your new book and see the Out of the Block progress. That is a cool quilt, and I look forward to seeing the end result. I have never seen that book before. Sounds very cool and inspiring.

Oh this is like that line from a Dr. Seuss book --- "Do you like my hat? I do, I like your hat!" Perfect for early May too!

Try that darker blue around the edges of your quick quilt. It might make it pop??

The scrappy one is on my list! Thanks for the motivation.

Why not wear a hat like that? It looks delightful on you and I can just feel you soaking up that sunshine and vitamin D.

I don't think the orange looks too much around the edges of your quilt.Maybe those then a border in a green or darker colour?
