Circle Game

Here is exactly the same pattern in different fabrics and with the circles arranged more off center. I made the largest circle slightly smaller so I could offset the smaller ones more and not lose them at the edge of the square. I am trying for more of an outer space look. I think it needs more blocks to get enough variety. I am also thinking of adding more embellishments to this one. I thought of sewing iron-on stabilizer to the back of the circles and turning them so they wouldn't be raw edge and attaching them with decorative stitching. I'll try one before I decide. There is a lot of scope for arrangement in this pattern. I can already see that some of the circles get lost because there is not enough contrast. I'll be playing with this one for awhile.

I am enjoying yours and Alison's circle quilts. I have that book too and haven't done anything out of it yet.

I need to get my butt in my sewing room tomorrow and get serious with some of my play projects!!!
Happy stitchings!

I've had a fun time backtracking the development of your circle quilt. So much fun! My Quilter's Playtime is still bedside reading, but in the new year I plan to consciously develop my playfulness -- I'll work hard at not working so hard!
