Quilting the Dragon

I started quilting the dragon this morning. As you can see I'm not very good at following the lines. I think it will look ok when it is washed and the white lines are gone. I did the two dragons on one border and started meandering but then ran out of black thread. The hard part is done now and as soon as I get more thread it will go very fast.
Meanwhile, I have started sewing the other K quilt together.

Yup! Once your marking lines are washed out, no won will be the wiser, and it will look great!! 8-)

hoooo-ee! That looks VERY nice. And in closeup? Some of your NOT following the lines made it a better design, I think.

The marks will wash out (of course) and I expect the batting will shrink up a couple of % - making the dragons just POP the way they should.

Good Job!

I promise I won't tell anyone you didn't quilt on your carefully drawn white chalk lines. LOL Looking forward to seeing the quilt finished. Don't you HATE when you run out of thread??

It's going to look stunning when the chalk lines are gone! Absolutely stunning.

Your quilting looks great. I'm not good at staying on the line either. It will be perfect when the chalk lines are gone.

They are 'guide' lines right? You just chose not to follow them exactly. Remember, you are a liberated quilter!
