Freebies

Blogland is awash with free project instructions these days. This is a cute little triangular bag but I can't remember where I found it to give credit where credit is due. It's similar to the famous chicken pincushions but with a zipper on one side. I am thinking it would be pretty cute as a chicken with the eyes beak etc. but still with the zipper. Hmmm... next project maybe.

I have one of those chicken pincushions, and I'm embarrassed to say I bought it rather than made it. (At least it was a fundraiser for the local children's home.) I love your fabric, but I think the bag would also be terrific as a chicken -- very cute, very different. How big is it? I'm looking for unusual little bags to make for my daughter's various knitting projects. Some of her preemie cap and bootie projects are pretty small.

It is so pretty - love the fabric. I know there is a pattern out for it, called the Humbug bag. My daughter made it in her quilt class.

Hi Joyce,
I've enjoyed visiting your fun blog. What a great "about me" statement you've written. All I can add to that is a resounding "amen!"

Very cute little bag. Aren't clever bags irresistible?

Thanks for visiting my blog.

Cute bag! Would make a good take-along for home knitted slippers! Good gift idea! 8-)
If you printed out the pattern from the internet, maybe the link is on that copy.
Happy stitchings!

It's great. I'm making bags myself -- little cosmetic bags out of lipstick fabric. what size is your cut rectangle before you start?

HOW CUTE! I have made a couple of the chicken pin cushions, but alas, they were given as gifts, so I don't have one myself. I love the idea of a chicken bag. I think they would make great Easter gifts. Thanks for sharing.

Oh, you totally have to make a zippered chicken bag!

Cute! I think I have that pattern in a drawer somewhere. I need to get it out and make the thing. Always liked that triangular idea.
