Table Runner Pieced
I got the table runner pieced together this afternoon. It was a precision job all right and I'd give myself about 75% at best. The hardest part was putting the points on the end. The borders were added first and trying to perfectly match that tiny yellow line on an angle was impossible for me. I basted it first and still had to rip back a couple of times. It's far from perfect but not bad for a wonky quilter. I think I'll go with the yellow binding. At first I thought the light blue would be better to tie in the middle blue but in the end yellow looks better. Doing it again I'd be tempted to use orange instead of the light blue. It's about 18x76 inches in size. There is a pattern for matching napkins but I don't have enough blue or ambition.

Wow Joyce, when I stopped by the other day I was curious about how the runner would look, and I just love it! The colours you've selected are sensational.
*hugs*

It looks fantastic now it is together. The yellow border will give it real zing
Oohh! Pretty!
The fabric choices make it interesting - the combo of the lights and star tips tend to recede and then assert themselves again. An interactive table runner!
It's very pretty!
This is really nice. I like your color choices.
It turned out great! You can put orange in the next one. LOL.
Very well done. I didn't know that the binding was done first - I have not made anything with such a point - guess it is tricky.
You should be well pleased with your effort and will know what to expect if you make anything else similar.
It's wonderful! The points do look tricky and you have done such a great job with them!
Glad to see you're keeping yourself busy while we're in the midst of this deep freeze, maybe -40 C/F is the new norm?? Better not be!!!
That is an awesome table runner Joyce! 8-)
Wow! Well worth the effort. It is fantastic, & I think the colours are perfect.
Great table runner and the yellow for the binding is the way to go. Keep warm!
Sounds like this was a lot of work but the finished result is great.
This is so pretty. I'm lately heavily into table runners...got to start making them too! Thanks for the inspiration
The right fabric and motivation are indeed both necessary. What an interesting runner -- very cool how the blocks overlap/interact. It does look like a beat to piece, though.
