This is a scrap quilt that is using up some of my strings. It's made with 4.5 and 2.5 inch strips. It's called Wickedly Easy Quilts and the pattern is free from
Annie.com.
Each block is about 12 inches square. The strips are sewn together, cut into 7.5 inch pieces and then put back together with a 2.5 inch strip. The 2.5 inch strip that is left when you cut the big pieces gets used as a pieced border. I'm not sure how big this one will get but it's growing fast!

Another intriguing look! Very Random, as the youngs ones say!
Hi Joyce,
What a great pattern- my sister in law is looking for a pattern that we could use to make her a quilt that would work on a really flowery sofa that she wants to look less frilly- this one might just work..Thanks for the link - I had not seen this site before.
I like the bright colors in your quilt- it is so cheery looking.
Regards,
Anna
As you say, great pattern for scraps - and lots of fun arranging the blocks!
Looks like a fun pattern for either scraps of a collection of some sort. I can see it in batiks or orientals or even neutrals for a very elegant/airy looking quilt.
Enjoy...and stay warm!
Ooops...should have been: pattern for either scraps OR a collection of some sort. ;-)
Looks like fun *s*
