After enjoying a family party on July 1, Canada Day, I am back in the studio.
I changed the top on this one and auditioned some rick rack to unite it with the area below it. It's not sewn down yet so it could still change to something completely different.
I did some dyeing while the weather is nice and sunny. These are some of them on the clothes line.
And some more.
This one was spread out on a tray and the dye painted on with a foam brush. I like the watery look. I may do some more this afternoon.

What are you going to do with these fabrics? They are very interesting. I've tried dying fabric once, and it was fun, but for a purpose (Phil Beaver class), so haven't had the 'challenge' hit me again. These photos are tugging at me to try it again!
Great outcome with the dyed fabrics. I see a psychedelic hippie quilt in your future:):)
The dyeing looks like lots of fun! You've been so busy Joyce, I'm finding it hard to keep up!
I really liked that blue fabric. I am going to have to try that.
Doesn't seem like that long ago that you were creating snow dyes, does it! ;-) The hand dyeds look fabulous out in the sunshine and blue sky!
Happy Sunday, Joyce!
Ohhhh those fabrics are so exciting and seeing them makes me want to dye some fabric too and get creative they are brilliant...
