We are hosting a party in a couple of days so I've been too busy to sew. Instead I'll give you a picture of our Mock Orange shrub with the last of the wild roses snuggled up to it. The perfume is heavenly.
Wishing you all a magical 7/07/09! Hope you can find time to snap a few photos. Perhaps next year will find us up on the hill, enjoying the party with you! Thank you for the generous invitation. ;-)
I retired a few years ago after being an elementary school teacher for many years. I started quilting about a year ago and now I find that a day without quilting is a day wasted. I have also started dyeing fabrics and have dabbled in batik. I have done silk painting for many years and plan to incorporate some of that into my quilting.
I love this quote that a friend sent me.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, wine in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO, what a ride!"

I hope your party was/is successful! I hope you can have fun too...something that is sometimes difficult for the hostess!
Beautiful -- but you forgot to post the perfume of the flowers! ;)
I love wild roses! 8-)
Great photo Joyce!
I love those wild roses, they remind me of being a child, being carried on my my mother's bicycle, in a seat on the back!
