I made a second bag using the same pattern. Now I wish I had used something different for the inset pieces behind the front pockets. There is too much contrast for me. Maybe I'll get out my Shiva Paintsticks or maybe somebody will get this one as a gift...

It's lovely Joyce, but I see what you mean about the contrast. What about cutting out one of the shapes on the fabric and appliquing it on the white part?
I think it's a great bag, but if you're really bothered by the contrast, I have to agree with Ali about appliquing one or two of the 'flowers' from the main fabric on top.
