Thanks to Darcie at
Longarm Quilter and Hand Dyer (I hope the link works) I now have a fantastic chicken pincushion! Sorry the picture is not that great but you get the idea. So far it has no pinfeathers but it will live on my hand quilting frame so it will probably have needle feathers instead. I wish I'd had some of them during our studio tour. They probably would have flown off the shelves. No pun intended (maybe).

That is Too Cute. You are right, they would have sold fast.
I am sorely tempted to make one (or two)- I like anything with chickens. Did you fill it with rice or something else?
So, so cute!!! Love chicken pincushions.
I just love your chicken pincushion, I have one of those, I made it up from an old Doreen Speckmann pattern!

Very cute! Bet you could use some of your scraps making more of those...
Cheers!

Your chicken is adorable - does it have a name yet?
what a lovely pincushion you've made.
Have just been reading your post about the walking track. Looks great. We have an area near us which we walk along and also has a picnic area.
Joyce love your chook!!! Very cute. Love the comb too.
Too bad about the pie in the fridge - not it's not! More for you :)
Love your chick, Joyce! And your pun!
I have a chickenfamily like yours on top of my refrigerator. Two big an two small. Have made a lot of these for gifts.
Every time I see a chicken pincushion, I want one and think I'll just whip one up, along with a few extra for friends - yours are so clever and ... chicken-y! But ... I'm embarassed to ask, how are they made? I can see the little loggie, but how many blocks??? And what do you put inside?
