Snow

We woke up today to beautiful, soft, fluffy snow with more wafting down. We went for a walk but the camera batteries died after only a few pictures. I include the one of me in spite of the wierd white thing on my face, hopefully a snowflake. The parka, which I love, I found at a thrift store for $4 in new condition. My favorite kind of shopping.

I didn't get any quilting done today. I opted for organizing and cleaning the studio. Since I have finished piecing the butterflies, it was time to clean up all the scraps and make room for cutting the borders. I have decided to go with plain blue sashing just to make it a bit bigger. If I do any blocks between the butterflies it will get too big. It is going to end up about 60x80 inches if I use 3 inch sashing and that is as big as I want to quilt.

wow - that is quite the snow you have there - I am hoping for enough more snow tonight to get us out of school tomorrow

Brrrr, they're predicting a 'wintry mix' here in Tennessee, but we won't get anything like your snow!

It'll probably spit a little sleet and everyone will get scared and stock up on milk and bread... lol

What a great photo! I love snow--as long as I don't have to drive in it LOL. So great to be able to stay indoors and quilt and watch the snow through the windows.

They are calling for snow here on Thursday, but like I told my neighbor lady, I'll believe it when I get up and see it. Great picture.

My son would love to have snow around, but we are living in Rhein-Main-Area and the temperature is higher due to a lot of industrial sites and production halls. We have a mild autumn and we still have 14°C and this end of November. But nevertheless we will bake some trays of x-mas cookies this afternoon.

Love to look at the snow. It looks so fresh and clean. If it would just stay off the roads. VBG

The snow looks beautiful! Unfortunatly, no snow in our forecast for a while. If it did snow, it would be gone in a flash. Sigh...

That's a lot of bundling up you have done. Even though I often long for snow, I must realize that I only want it while I'm indoors, snuggly warm *s*

Snow! It's in our forecast here in Toronto for Friday ...... our temperatures are expected to drop from 16ºC (NO that's no typo) to a chilly -2ºC between Thursday and Friday. It's time to sort out the basic necessities in the kitchen and keep them stocked. Driving on snow days doesn't thrill me in the least. Keep warm.
