More Blocks

Here are a few more blocks I've made from my new quilting book. I love their way of making tons of blocks and then having fun putting them together. That's what I did with Micha's quilt and it was really a blast and it turned out fine. I also like Freddy Moran's theory that you can't have too much colour. This quilt will be a real test of that.

The close up of the two houses shows how the animals fit into the houses. The horse had an orange roof but it was too small so I ripped it off and will use it on a smaller house. The houses are getting a bit more wonky but I want to take it even further.

I agree with Freddy - Nature doesn't stint on the colour, so why should we?

Happy New year to you too.

Fab houses - and the colour theory is right, after all, many old quilts were just made with what was available, whatever the colour, and they came out just great.

Best wishes for the New Year

Very nice! Lovely houses, love the animals in the door ways. Reminds me I must get my funky house blocks out and make some more.

I'm sure Freddy Moran said red was a neutral!
