Quilting the Ninepatch

I am nearly done quilting the NinePatch but I had to spend most of the moring ripping out. The machine wasn't sewing properly and I didn't notice until I had done a row and a half all the way around the quilt. I am not very happy with the quilting job but I have ripped out all I am willing to do. I think it will be a couch quilt.

And here is Simba watching us get ready to go for a walk. He can tell when we are getting dressed and he gets very eager. Thank goodness hunting season is over and we can walk without fear of getting shot at!

Love the picture of Simba -- Harper, too, knows just what shoes and jackets to watch for. It's fun to watch the excitement built in her waggy tail *s*

smart idea sending Simba outside so you can get ready! I've tried once too often to get dressed with my mom's dog waiting for a walk and the arms, legs, paws, tails and all make a real tangle...

Don't you just absolutely hate that! Stitching can look so good on the top and so bad on the bottom. And it's always a shock to turn the quilt and see all those loops and knots. I'd have at least 3-4 more quilts quilted if I'd had the time I've spent ripping for quilting instead.

Love the photo of Simba peeking in the door. I am looking closely trying to see if the dog slobbers all over the window, in anticipation. Oh boy, that snow looks invigorating - it missed us in western Nebraska. 8-(

Lucky Simba! What a lovely pic that is.

Good luck with your quilting. I find it is the hardest job, & I dont have patience for hand quilting. It turned into a lovely quilt.

I think you will need to be reported to the SPCA for making that poor dog sit out there in the snow while you mess around getting ready and taking photos! Hope the walk was enjoyed, and the quilting looks great to me.
