Ready to Quilt
I finished piecing this one yesterday. I put it on my queen sized bed to see if it would be big enough. It's probably the biggest quilt I have made so far. I have not quilted such a large one on the frame yet. I'm not sure how I will quilt it. I will be somewhat limited as to size because it will be quite a big roll under the machine when I am near the end. I may have to learn how to turn a quilt on the frame. I haven't spotted any more mistakes. That will probably happen after it's quilted and it's too late to correct.

I love how you had some of the 9 patches come out into the white border area...
Very nice quilt. It looks great on the bed.
I didn't realize this was such a big quilt. This one will give you a lot of practice with both the frame and the quilting.
Your borders are great with the extension of the quilt into them.
Good luck quilting such a big one on the frame! I don't know anything about it, I hope you don't have to end up turning it.
It looks terrific, Joyce!
lovely quilt top and I am sure you will manage to get it quilted beautifully.......
Love the scrappy look and try quilting a queen size in a lap frame ..... very heavy and bulky.
I figure if someone wants to study a quilt looking for mistakes they can go look some place else. I'll bet there aren't any in this one, which looks sooo good.
I echo the others. It really does look so good!
I'd love to have you join my new quilter's list blog! Just ran across your wonderful blog and wanted to say HI. Here is the link. :)

Great job!!!
I don't know how you manage to crank so much wonderful stuff out...and with company no less!

Pretty! You sure did piece this in record time - I had not realized it was sooo big when you showed us photos of it on the wall. Great Queen sized quilt!
Cheers!
Evelyn
that looks great J! I look forward to seeing it quilted.
This is really nice. As for quilting ideas, one comes to mind. I made a queen-size for my mother-in-law, not the same pattern as yours but with similar shaped background. My longarm friend suggested a feather design in the background, then drew one specifically for my quilt. I loved the way it turned out, and as soon as I saw this one, was imagining something similar. There's a picture on my blog, May 6.
Have fun!
Awww...it'll be all good now, just through that sweet quilt on the frame and go for it! You need to learn to turn a quilt some time, may as well be now. Then you'll want to make more larger quilts.
