It's done. For the next one, I'll get some really heavy interfacing so it will hold it's shape better. I might get some stiffening for the bottom too. I have some plastic grid but it was too short. I did use the magnetic snaps and they are a snap to use!

You're so clever...and WAY on the ball for the upcoming holiday season!
I love those magnetic snaps too! I hardly make a handbag anymore without them.
I've looked at those snaps but thought they'd be a pain sticking to my metal machine bed... glad to know they worked well.
I really like this tote - excellent idea for using xmas fabric. Earlier this summer I made a bag in which the pattern required flannel for the lining. I made the bag as instructed and believe me, the flannel was an excellent choice. I've been using the purse all summer and it's nice and strong and firm. P.S. great bag, wonderful ideas you come up with Joyce, can't wait to see what other great ideas you have up your sleeve... love to visit...Lise
The bag looks absolutely awesome Joyce! Nice job! Will this be one of your bags, or one that you sell?
Happy stitchings.
It's a beaut Joyce. Quite different from the others youve made.
Lovely bright Christmassy fabric. Your handles look great, & the snap is a feature.
