The Next Step

I got all the star blocks done on the weekend and have started assembling them. As soon as I saw the picture here I saw a mistake on the first row. Two star blocks together that I didn't see when I was looking right at it. Oh well, that's not a big deal to fix. Only one seam to undo and resew.

That looks great Joyce! I love it!
You know, I find that if something looks "out" but can't pinpoint it, if I take a photo of it all, the part that looks "out" seems to really jumps out at you on the photo! Even if all looks great, as in your case today, it surprises you in a photo that something is amiss! Digital photos are great "tool" in quilt making. 8-)
Happy stitchings!

Ooops. I hate when that happens. Your quilt looks gorgeous though.

I have alway taken B&W photos of the fabric before I even start. That way I can tell if my values are good. Now I have started taking photos of the blocks too, just because I always seem to find and oops. This quilt is looking great!

Doh -- I was studying and studying, starting from the top and studying some more, wondering why I couldn't see the mistake. uhhh, just look Elaine! LOL Plain as the nose on my face. It's gonna be a great quilt and one I've been wanting to make! Very earthy and calming.

An easy fix. Sometimes I wonder how I could make such a mistake. I think walking away, then returning to view something helps. It is such an effective design.
