Gate Quilt

We have a stair well right near our front door and were always afraid somebody would fall down. We also used to have a lot of little grandchildren (they are far from little now) that we worried about falling. So we made a gate, but it was ugly so today I decided to make a quilted cover for it. Sorry the picture is a bit dark. I only finished it after the light was gone.
The painting of the whale on the wall to the far right was done by True, my 11 year old grandson. Our family is littered with artists!

The glimpse into your home shows so much love and individuality. The whale is beautiful! I hope he continues to explore his talents.

What a fun way to disguise the gate.
Paintings at 11 . . . you've got a real artist on your hands *s*

Great disguise for the gate -- it's almost like it was meant to be a quilt display rack.
There is certainly a lot of talent in your home.

You're always coming up with such clever ideas, Joyce! Along with True's work, it looks like Alison's has found a special home as well.
