Winter Frost

This morning the trees were all covered with frost so we went for a walk to get a few photos if the beauty around us. The temperature was -17 but there was no wind so it was nice walking. There are wind chills of -32 predicted for later today so it was good to walk early.

Brrrr! But it's definitely beautiful. I don't mind the cold nearly so much as the short days. We've been just at the wrong temperatures, enough for things to melt a bit in the daytime and then freeze into a sheet of ice overnight.

Your winter wonderland looks lovely. But sounds like it is very freezy. Brrr!

Ah yes...I know exactly how cold that was. We had snow...and although it threw a wrench in our day...it was pretty.

I love the monochromatic scheme of your photos! Anyone who has never experienced the bitter, Northern temperatures would have a terrific idea of it while viewing your pictures, don't you agree?

Lovely - we had a day like that yesterday, but without the frost. I actually went out without a coat on!

Back to the grey wet grey wet days again today.

I love that pattern. I've downloaded it and may use it for the batiks. Thanks.

It just looks so peaceful . . . . cold, but peaceful.
