Spring in Manitoba

Enough said.

Yesterday I quilted the vines that I made using a stencil and Shiva paint sticks. The green smears at the bottom are part of the dye job not from the paint sticks. The quilting was good practise for doing veins in leaves. I had no idea what to do on the background so I just did my usual meander.

The quilting and the stenciled vine look really good.

Good job, Joyce. The stenciled leaves look very nice with a simple meander quilting pattern.

Although we haven't got snow, it has turned into autumn overnight, but autumn with daffodils!

Lovely quilting.

I'll quit complaining about the few flakes we had this week. Geez. I love the look of that fabric and the vines. It looks antique and made with such love.

The vines look great. Really enhanced by the quilting which is just right for this kind of fabric.

We didn't get as much snow as you but we also have snow for spring. The vines look great. So delicate.

Yeah, I think this is one of the reasons you get more quilts made than I do - which is not to say I'd trade my wishy washy weather for that :)
