Wonky Log Cabin Again

Here is the Wonky Log Cabin with the borders attached. I made mitred corners to make the point that it is wonky by choice and not because I am incapable of doing precision sewing. I hope I haven't stretched it all out of shape by hanging it for the photo. I have the backing ready but haven't decided how to quilt it yet. I have to decide whether I will mark it or just do a meander. I haven't tried anything freeform on such a large quilt before so I am leaning toward marking it. Any ideas? I will probably do some sort of chain on the yellow border.

I love the colour you chose for the border, and the corners are great! If I were quilting it and wanted to mark I'd probably go with freehand drawn slightly off balance spirals just for the curve in contrast to the straight pieces, but off balanced to keep the "wonky" going...

That quilt really appeals to me! I love that it is 'wonky'- I am no listmaker, & like to have semi organised chaos about me in the sewing room. Not so in my office when I was at work.
I dont know about the quilting- I am a very basic machine quilter, stick to easy. Have not really mastered the free form yet, though I did some on my brother's quilt.
Good luck, & keep us posted!

Curious to see what people suggest, I have a LC waiting to be quilted, but don't know what to do with it - it's not wonky, though. This looks great!

Your quilt is just super and I love the yellow on your walls in your sewing room! The quilt will be beautiful in there!

Great lob cabin quilt! I haven't made one yet that is wonky in this style -- another day. Thanks for the inspiration! Wish I could walk that lovely trail!
