I went to town yesterday and was able to get a blue that suited me for between the sun's rays. It's much brighter and a bit mottled. Now I have to figure out how I am going to put it all together. I'm thinking I'll sew the rays together and then try curved piecing it to the sun. If that doesn't work, but I see no reason why it won't, I'll applique the sun on. I'll probably use an envelope finish on it which will be a first for me. Up until now I have always used borders and binding.

This is so cute. I think your plan will work. I certainly think you have a creative mind.
This is too dear. Love what you have done. Colleen in South Africa
The quilt looks great Joyce!! Curved piecing "al a Judy Morningstar" should work well with the sun.
This is looking good. Curious mind here needs to know: how will you stabilise the curved top for hanging?
It is looking wonderful, & I think this blue is much better.
Hmmmn suppose hanging will be a bit of a problem?
LOvely quiltje!
Kind regards,

I have no doubt that you will be able to get it assembled, with whatever process you so choose!
Love that blue!
Looking good so far! I've done the envelope finish for charity quilts, but not with a curved edge.
