Another Walk

Today was nice and warm so we went for another walk. Here are a few pictures from along the way.

The red leaves are small mountain ash trees.

This is a little meadow near the creek that is probably quite swampy in wet weather.

Some mushrooms growing on an old tree. It's hard to believe that this will all be under snow before we know it.

It makes me shiver just hearing you mention snow. I never used to mind winter but I like it less every year. I love the picture with the red leaves for contrast.

Mmmm...lovely. I've seen those small mountain ash along the way to Devils Lake...and have always wondered what they're called. They are the most intense, gorgeous color...contrasting well with all of the other autumn colors.

Great photos... Mushrooms... We have them growing all over our lawns around here, and the baby fur girl likes to eat them...
Lately she has also taken to biting off pieces of bark off of every tree that we pass...Weird!
