Kaliedoscope Number 2

I am almost done the piecing on this one. I have eleven more hexagons to sew together. I may need some more boxes too. Now I have to find the best way to arrange them. Then I have to pick a border color. Usually, I would go for black but there may be enough black in the center. Maybe pink or yellow or a bit of both would be better. I'll know better when I have settled on the layout. Ideas would be welcome.

Wow-wee Joyce! You've been busy. Are you now addicted to making hexagons and boxes? A pink border might look nice maybe with a hint of yellow piping perhaps?

Ooooooo I like the idea of a yellow piping QGB, but not sure of the pink. Joyce, do you have some browns in there? Hard to tell from the photo... What about your fabric that you are making your Hexagons out of? Do you have enough of that for a boarder?
Maybe a Batik with some golds, yellows, pinks, brownie colors?... and a yellowish piping?
Ok! Shush Myra! Getting carried away here! Your work is looking great there Joyce!
Happy stitchings...

Boy, you are cooking! I can't believe how many you have done. Have you thought of just using the fabric that they are made from and let them just melt into the border?

Like the idea Wanda suggests. They seemed to muliply quickly!

you've done a wonderful job on these Joyce -- hope they lend themselves to a wider and shorter layout then the last one :-)

I think any of the already mentioned ideas would work - it depends what colour way you want to be dominant. Suggest you auditionfabrics - your eye will tell which you like best.

Great to hear you making suggestions for more BAGS. You got some bargins with those fabrics.

Oh crumbs - questions? I'm tempted to go for a dusky pink border to throw out the darker pinks in the hexagons and then perhaps a black binding? Actually, looking at the photo again, how about a border in the same sort of pink as the hexagon 3rd'ish row from the top, 3rd'ish from the right?

I think that a black border would be too much....
With that said - I don't have a better idea.

Okay, I have no border suggestions. I would have to see the blocks in person. My question is, what possessed you to combine the box blocks with the kaleidoscopes? They are a very cool surprise as you look at the blocks.
