I started on this one this morning. It is much more subdued than most of my recent work. I do love the peacock fabric. The back is the same except the peacock's tail is not spread out.
I never know what you're going to come up with! I held that lighter purple fabric (with the blue and purple and gold swirls) in my hands this morning -- I used it in a quilt for my MIL and was considering the scraps for a current project.
Joyce, What fun you are having with this technique- I love all the bags- they all have their own personalities. The peacock fabric is yummy- I love when the fabric has gold or silver imprinting on them . You often find that effect on the Asian fabrics. Fabricland had a line of fabric called Fantasia, a few years ago and the florals were just so rich looking with the gold and silver imprinting on them.
I look forward to seeing the next installment of bags - they are so funky! Regards, Anna

Great bags you've come up with there Joyce! Good for you! 8-)
Happy stitchings!
Actually I think it is more classical than subdued. They are all lovely, just have different personalities! I do love that peacock!
xo
